About Me

My Story

Hi, I’m Anya and animals have always been at the centre of my life. I started this business after losing my beloved dog, Molly, who was my constant companion. I missed the rhythm of our daily walks and the simple joy of being out and about with her. Before long, I was offering to walk any dog I met in the village, and it soon became clear that this was what I wanted to do - helping other dogs enjoy happy, stress-free walks while giving their owners peace of mind.

I live in Riding Mill in the beautiful Tyne Valley and love nothing more than exploring the countryside, woodland paths and hidden corners both nearby and further afield. I’m an experienced dog walker, confident walking several dogs at once, and I’m used to handling dogs who might be reactive or a little tricky with others. I’ve got plenty of strategies to keep them calm, engaged and happy while we’re out on our adventures.

My love of animals began early - growing up on a farm meant caring for everything from livestock and poultry to my own horse, which sparked a lifelong passion for horses and riding. I’ve also worked on two city farms (in Edinburgh and Newcastle), which gave me even more experience looking after a variety of animals. Alongside dogs and horses, I’ve cared for small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, and while working at Ouseburn City Farm I gained experience with reptiles and exotic pets including tortoises, snakes, geckos, bearded dragons, birds, rats and ferrets.

For me, caring for animals isn’t just a job - it’s something that brings me genuine joy. I’d love to meet your animal pals and take them on their next countryside adventure.
